Seeing tea through Michaela’s creative lens
A little note on our collaboration with Michaela Weisskirchner-Barfod — and why it always feels special to see BySips become part of another person’s world, rituals and visual storytelling.
One of the things we love most about BySips is seeing how our teas travel into other people’s homes, routines and creative universes. Not just as something to drink, but as part of a slower moment, a table setting, a mood, a story.
That is exactly how this collaboration with Michaela Weisskirchner-Barfod felt. Thoughtful, warm, visual and deeply personal.
Michaela is an architect and designer with a beautiful eye for atmosphere, detail and spaces that feel both soulful and intentional. Her work moves between architecture, interiors, styling, set design and storytelling, and you can really feel that layered creative background in everything she creates.
What inspired us most was not only her aesthetic, but the way she sees spaces and objects as something emotional — something that can shape how we feel, connect and slow down. That feels very close to how we think about tea too.
Born and raised in Vienna and later shaped by years in Copenhagen, Michaela brings together architectural precision with intuition, travel references and a real sensitivity to everyday rituals. Her world feels timeless, collected and lived in — the kind of feeling we always hope BySips can be part of.
We especially loved seeing how naturally our tea became part of her visual stories. The way she captured the mood around it felt honest and effortless — never forced, just genuinely part of her rhythm. Those are always our favourite collaborations: when the product simply belongs there.
Michaela works under the name spaces.places.stories., which honestly feels like the perfect description of what she creates. Her projects are about more than interiors looking beautiful — they carry feeling, memory and atmosphere. You can sense a story in them.
And that is what made this collaboration feel so aligned. At BySips, we care a lot about the pause around the tea — the visual calm, the soft rituals, the moments that happen before and after the cup. Seeing someone else understand that without needing to explain it too much is always really special.
We are so happy to share a few of the images and moods Michaela created with our tea. For us, they capture exactly the kind of quiet inspiration we love — creative, personal and full of atmosphere.
Thank you, Michaela, for bringing BySips into your universe and for sharing your eye, your calm and your creativity with us.

We love collaborations like this — where tea, space, mood and storytelling meet in a very natural way.
